SENIOR MANAGING PARTNER OF IMPROVE CONSULTING AND TRAINING GROUP

With a Ph.D. in organic and polymer chemistry, Ellen Burts Cooper saw a need in
organizations for training, coaching development and team building. As a result, she
decided to start Improve Consulting and Training Group.

After starting her company seven years ago, Ellen decided to take on the managing
partner position four years into the venture.

She launched an internship program when the business started. She knew she wanted
to develop talent. One of the philanthropic missions for Improve Consulting is to give
back to the community, and she argues that there are few better ways to do this than
through an internship program.
